Rooted in the Dutch concept of gezellig, we’ve created a space that feels like a warm hug: cosy, inviting, and full of soul.

Hi, we’re Gill & Gerry.

When we took over the café in June 2024, we knew it was always meant to be more than ‘just coffee’ — we envisioned creating a space where local community of the stunning Noosa Hinterland could truly thrive.

An inclusive, inspiring place where creatives feel seen, musicians find their voice, and strangers become friends.

Having lived overseas and raised our family, we’ve experienced firsthand the deep importance and impact of community and connection.

Our involvement in resilience-building projects showed us how much stronger communities are when people are connected.

The Spot is our hearts project — a ‘gezellig’ space to gather, create, belong, and bring something truly meaningful to the neighbourhood.
